We have proposed the LST project as one of the "medium- to long-term research strategies for science" for the "Future Academic Promotion Initiative" formulated by the Science Council of Japan. The "Future Academic Promotion Initiative" is a concept being developed by the Science Council of Japan to present a "grand vision" for promoting science in our country, looking ahead to the next 20 to 30 years.
Additionally, we have submitted an overview of the LST project to be included in the booklet of large and medium-scale future projects being prepared by the Astronomy and Astrophysics Subcommittee within the Science Council of Japan.
